الگوی شهر خلاق مبتی بر ارتباط میان اقتصاد، فرهنگ، تولید مکان­های خلاق و نوآور است که بهره­گیری از فرصت­های اقتصاد جهانی خلاق میتنی بر دانش در پی رقابت­پذیر کردن مکان می­باشد. الحاق شهرها به شبکۀ شهرهای خلاق هم­راستا با افزایش توان اقتصادی یک برند مستقل برای خود به وجود می­آورند. لذا، هدف پژوهش حاضر؛ شناسایی عوامل موثر در موفقیت برندینگ شهری در راستای تحقق شهر خلاق (مطالعه موردی: شهر دامغان) می­باشد. رویکرد حاکم بر فضای تحقیق کیفی و نوع تحقیق کاربردی است و بر حسب روش انجام از نوع پیمایشی (مصاحبه) می­باشد. جامعه آماری پژوهش حاضر شامل (کلیه مدیران ارشد شهرداری، اعضای هیئت علمی گروه جغرافیا، هنر و شهرسازی، شورا­های شهر و متخصصین حوزه مدیریت شهری دامغان) می‌باشند که با استفاده از روش دلفی 17 نفر به عنوان حجم نمونه، انتخاب شدند. برای تجزیه و تحلیل اطلاعات، از روش گراندد تئوری استفاده شده است. از نتایج مصاحبه با افراد متخصص، جهت شناخت عوامل موثر در موفقیت برندینگ شهری در راستای تحقق شهر خلاق در دامغان، 56 مفهوم و 18 واحد معنایی و 7 مقوله­­ی (ارتقای محیط شهری، فضا­های شکوفا کننده، تقویت جایگاه بین­المللی شهر، مدیریت مستمر و هدفمند، تدوین چشم­انداز، جذابیت و امنیت شهری، تثبیت جایگاه برندسازی)، استخراج شد.
