سازگاری با نوسانات آب و هوایی یکی از مناسب­ترین راهبردها برای کاهش آسیب­پذیری از تغییر اقلیم محسوب می­شود. تحقیق حاضر با هدف بررسی محدودیت­های سازگاری اجتماعات روستایی با تغییر اقلیم در استان گلستان انجام شد. جمعیت مورد مطالعه شامل 1158 خانوار در 10 روستای واقع در ناحیه کوهستانی حوضه آبخیز اوغان بودند که 290 نفر با روش طبقه­بندی­شده تصادفی بررسی شدند. اطلاعات مورد نیاز با پرسشنامه جمع­­آوری و با نرم­افزار SPSS21 تجزیه و تحلیل گردید. نتایج نشان داد که میزان محدودیت سازگاری با تغییر اقلیم در حد متوسط بود و بیشترین و کمترین محدودیت­ها به ترتیب با جنبه­های «اقتصادی» و «فیزیکی» ارتباط داشت. محدودیت­ سازگاری با تغییر اقلیم در بین افراد مجرد و همچنین افرادی کمتر بود که در تعاونی­ها و تشکل­ها عضویت داشتند و از مروجان و تسهلیگران استفاده کرده­ بودند. در عین حال، افراد دارای تحصیلات دانشگاهی و همچنین کسانی که در دوره­های آموزشی حضور نداشتند­ با محدودیت­های بیشتری برای سازگاری با تغییر اقلیم روبه­رو بودند. افزایش دسترسی مردم محلی به مروجان و تسهیلگران و استفاده آنان از برنامه­ های آموزشی و ترویجی، عضویت در تعاونی­ها و تشکل­ها و همچنین راه­اندازی صندوق­های اعتباری ­خرد روستایی از پیشنهادات تحقیق حاضر برای کاهش محدودیت­های سازگاری با تغییر اقلیم می­باشد.
