پژوهش حاضر با هدف؛ تحلیل اثرات اقتصاد سیاسی نفت برساختار درآمدی شهرداری تهران تدوین شده است، در راستای تحقق هدف پژوهش از استراتژی قیاسی مبتنی بر روش کمی استفاده شده است. جامعه آماری پژوهش شامل خبرگان و نخبگان علمی - اجرایی  مرتبط با عنوان تحقیق است؛ که با استفاده از شیوه نمونه گیری سیستماتیک و مبتنی بر منطق نمونه گیری، تعداد 50 نفر به عنوان نمونه انتخاب گردید. شاخص های تحقیق در 4 گروه (اقتصاد سیاسی نفت، اقتصاد سیاسی فضا، تحولات فضایی شهر و درآمد شهرداری) دسته بندی شدند. ساختار فضای شهری تهران به عنوان معلول و متغیر وابسته تحت تاثیر متغیرهای مستقلی نظیر، اقتصاد سیاسی نفت، اقتصاد سیاسی فضا و درآمد شهری است جهت تحلیل داده ها از نرم افزار smart PLS استفاده شده است. نتایج تحلیل داده­ها نشان داد که از بین گویه های تبیین کننده مولفه اقتصاد سیاسی نفت، گویه «رشد و انباشت سرمایه» و «رانت جویی» دارای تحقق پذیری حداکثری بوده است. همچنین «شیوه تولید مسلط» و «جهانی شدن و تجدید ساختارهای اقتصادی از اولویت های اصلی در اقتصاد سیاسی فضا می باشند. از بین مولفه های اثرگذار در حوزه درآمد شهری، به استثنای مولفه» عدم همخوانی وظایف و مسئولیت های شهرداری با منابع تامین مالی که دارای تحقق حداقلی است سایر مولفه ها نظیر مولفه «درآمدهای پایدار، اخذ مالیات و عوارض محلی»، «سهم کمک های دولتی »، «میزان دسترسی به منابع بخش خصوصی و بازارهای مالی و سرمایه ای» و «اصلاح قوانین منتج به درآمد پایدار برای شهرداری» دارای بیشترین میزان اثرپذیری و اثرگذاری می باشند. که می بایستی در بازتعریف منابع درآمدی برای شهرداری تهران به آنها توجه ویژه تری نمود.
