In order to achieve successful marketing of tourism and gain a competitive position, it is necessary for tourism planners to have a correct and clear understanding of the variables affecting the competitiveness of tourist destinations. Therefore, the present research aims to analyze the impact of the mental image and the quality of infrastructure on the competitiveness of tourist destinations. Has been The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. A questionnaire was used to collect information. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. The statistical population of the research consisted of tourists entering Gorgan city. The sample size was estimated to be 384 people using Cochran's formula. The reliability of the questionnaire was measured by calculating Cronbach's alpha and calculating the combined reliability coefficient (cr). In this research, SPSS and pls software were used to analyze the research data. The findings of this research showed that the quality of tourism infrastructure has a positive and significant effect on the competitiveness of tourism destinations and the mental image of tourism destinations. Also, the results showed that the mental image of tourist destinations has a positive and significant effect on the competitiveness of tourist destinations. According to the value of the route coefficient obtained, the impact of the quality of tourism infrastructure and the mental image of the destination on the competitiveness of tourism destinations was evaluated as moderate.
