امروزه، تغییر اقلیم و بروز پدیده­های آب و هوایی همچون خشکسالی، خسارات اقتصادی و اجتماعی فراوانی را در نواحی روستایی به­دنبال داشته است و زندگی ساکنان روستاها را تحت تأثیر قرار داده است. با عنایت به این مسأله، هدف پژوهش حاضر سنجش و تحلیل سطح تاب‌آوری اقتصادی و اجتماعی باغداران روستاهای بخش مرکزی شهرستان ملکان در برابر خشکسالی و همچنین شناسایی عوامل مؤثر بر میزان تاب‌آوری آنان بود. این پژوهش از حیث هدف کاربردی و از نظر روش انجام توصیفی تحلیلی (علّی) با ماهیتی کمی است. داده­ها و اطلاعات بر مبنای دو روش اسنادی و میدانی (پرسشنامه) جمع‌آوری گردید. واحد تحلیل پژوهش، باغداران ساکن در محدوده مورد مطالعه و افراد مطلع محلی بودند. همچنین جهت تجزیه و تحلیل داده­های گردآوری شده از تکنیک کوپراس و معادلات ساختاری استفاده شد. نتایج تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که باغداران روستاهای اروق و لکلر بالاترین و روستاهای سرمه­لو، علی­ آباد قشلاق، یولقنلوی جدید، یولقنلوی قدیم و تازه­ کندخان­ کندی پایین­ترین سطح تاب‌آوری را در برابر خشکسالی دارند. نتایج مدل­سازی نیز نشانگر آن است که متغیر «اقدامات محلی» در حد آستانه متوسط، متغیر «سرمایه اجتماعی» در حد آستانه متوسط و نهایتاً متغیر «سیاست‌ها و حمایت‌های دولتی» در حد آستانه قابل توجه قرار دارند.
